Mike has practiced civil litigation for over thirty-three years, representing clients in personal injury, commercial liability, premises liability, professional liability, products liability, and insurance disputes across Texas. He started his career at Touchstone, Bernays in Dallas in 1983 and was a shareholder there before founding Carnahan Thomas in 2003.

He has tried more than one hundred civil jury trials to verdict. Texas Lawyer named him Litigator of the Week in 2011 for his defense of a corporation in a commercial franchisee dispute. He has held an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell for over twenty years and has been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer every year since 2006.

Mike began mediating full-time in 2016 with Gilbert Mediation Group in Dallas. In July 2021, he opened Carnahan Mediations from his office in Southlake. He mediates both in person and remotely throughout the DFW metroplex and beyond.

  • · No cancellation fee, provided the privilege is not abused. Please cancel at least seven days in advance when possible.
  • · No travel charge for reasonable travel or for cities outside the immediate service area when three or more mediations are scheduled the same day.
